Meet Our Founder
Dr. Patrick L. Blohm is our center's founder. Born in Wisconsin, Dr. Blohm largely grew up in Illinois and graduated salutatorian of his high school class. Dr. Blohm graduated cum laude from St. John's University and was awarded the Joseph B. Gaida academic scholarship for being the most promising pre-medical student in his college class.
Utilizing this scholarship, Dr. Blohm obtained his M.D. from Rush University in Chicago. As a medical student, he not only was involved in in vitro fertilization in both the human and Rhesus monkey model but also graduated as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Society, which is an honor recognizing the very top medical graduates in the country.
After medical school, Dr. Blohm secured his four-year residency in obstetrics and gynecology. He was then selected for the single Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellowship position available at the Duke University Medical Center. Both Johns Hopkins and Duke have been consistently rated as two of the best teaching hospitals in the country.
Upon finishing his medical training, Dr. Blohm has been in private practice in reproductive endocrinology and infertility for 21 years. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology as well as reproductive endocrinology. Dr. Blohm believes his hallmark is to treat every patient as an individual, be frankly honest, and take as much time as is necessary for the patient to understand their situation, treatment options, and a chance for success.
